"Traces" is a song written by Sky Ferreira, Colin Munroe and Neon Hitch for Ferreira's debut album Cry Baby. However due to the album's cancellation it was released on Sky's extended play, As If!. The song appears as track two on the EP. The song was initially registered to BMI listing only Munroe and Hitch as the writers, but was later revised to include Ferreira as a writer. The new listing is titled "TRACES SKY FERREIRA VERSION".
Before being sold to Sky in 2011, the track was originally recorded for Neon Hitch's debut album in 2009. Hitch's original demo eventually leaked online on May 27, 2020.
